About the Tax Refund Service
This scheme allows international visitors staying at eligible hotels in Korea to claim a refund on the VAT included in their accommodation charges.
How to Claim Your Tax Refund
Guests staying at Toyoko Inn hotels in Korea may receive their tax refund upon departure at the airport or seaport, either at a staffed counter or via a self-service refund kiosk.
Eligibility for Tax Refunds
・Individuals who do not reside in Korea or who have no taxable income in Korea ・Foreign nationals staying in Korea for less than six months ・Korean nationals residing overseas who have stayed in Korea for three months or less and have lived abroad for at least two years ・Individuals departing Korea within three months of receiving the accommodation service
Services Eligible for Tax Refunds
・Room charges for stays of up to 30 nights, including breakfast where included in the rate ・Amounts settled on-site at the hotel ・Individual travellers (FIT) ・Individuals departing Korea within three months of check-out
