• Room doors lock automatically.
• To open an auto-lock door, turn the key 90°then push (pull) the door open while keeping the key in the same position.
• Always take your key when you leave a room with an auto-lock door. You will be locked out of your room if you leave your key behind.
• At hotels without auto-lock doors, check to make sure that the door is locked when you leave your room.

• In the room entrance, you will find a slot and lighting switch.
  Insert the room key holder into the slot to activate the room's lighting system.

[ Air Conditioner ]

• Most Toyoko Inn hotel rooms have an air-conditioning unit that comes with a remote control similar to the ones commonly found in Japanese homes. The remote control will be placed near the bed headboard. You can adjust the settings for your own needs. Some hotels are equipped with central air conditioning, in which case you can adjust the airflow using the wall dial.

• The radiator is installed under the desk at foot level, and circulates warm water to maintain an appropriate room temperature during the winter.

[ Writing Desk ]

• A phone, humidifier/hot water server, dryer, and lighting switches are all placed on/around the writing desk for quick and efficient access.
  If you need a desktop lamp, you can borrow one from the front desk.

• Use the server/humidifier as needed.
  The magnetic server will shut off automatically after the water boils. Please do not add water above the indicated line, as scalding water will spill out of the server and could cause injury. Please note that the server is equipped with a safety function that prevents heat from being turned on again soon(some hotels have a hybrid humidifier/magnetic hot water server).

[ Humidifier ]

• All rooms have a humidifier.
  Settings can be changed to meet your preferences. The humidifier is convenient for dry winter weather or as needed.

• The refrigerator is not stocked.
  You can purchase items from the vending machine in the lobby or from a nearby convenience store.
  After you check out, anything remaining in the fridge will be discarded as garbage.

[ Bed ]

• Single rooms feature a roomy 1400mm-wide double bed. Some Single A rooms have a 1200mm-wide bed(equivalent to a semi-double bed, but still more than enough for a single person to rest comfortably).
• We can provide extra blankets if necessary. Please ask at the front desk.
• Some hotels have ample space under the bed to store large suitcases or similar items -- a convenient touch that allows you to use the space in your room more effectively.

• Beside the bed is a lamp that can be adjusted for brightness (e.g., reading or work).
  The lamp has an attached mini-table that is a convenient for small items, cell phones, etc.

• Every room has a private bathroom with toilet attached.
• The bath and toilet are an all-in-one prefabricated bath unit. The bath tub is deep and roomy, as is customary in Japan. Even larger guests will find that they are able to sink in up to their shoulders.
• There are two taps, one for cold water and one for hot water. Make sure you adjust the hot water flow accordingly to avoid overly hot water.
• Liquid body soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided in a refillable dispenser to reduce environmental impact.
  
  
• The front desk can also provide bar soap and shower caps as needed.
• Always close the bath door when taking or drawing a bath, as the steam can set off the fire alarm.

• A face towel, bath towel, toothbrush set, razor and comb are supplied. The hair dryer is mounted on the wall beside the mirror above the writing desk.

[ Pants Press ]

• Each room has a pants press that can be used as needed(* on some hotels, the pants press is provided by floors). Irons can be borrowed from the front desk.

• Each room has three hangers (double and twin rooms have four). If you need additional hangers, please ask for them at the front desk.
• Most Toyoko Inn uses washable slippers, providing a fresh pair each day. Certain hotels, however, use disposable paper slippers.

• Make domestic and international calls by first dialing 0 for external access. Dialing directions are provided on the wall near the phone. Toyoko Inn does not add on a surcharge for phone calls; you only need to pay for the phone company charges.
• To speed your check-out, external call services from your room will be shut off on the morning of your departure. If you need to make a phone call in the morning, please dial 9 for the front desk to request phone service.
• You can set your phone to provide a wake-up call. Please refer to the guide on the wall near the phone for instructions.

[ LAN Port ]

• Each room is equipped with a free Internet LAN port(e-Free).
  Just connect your computer to the port in the wall. Toyoko Inn uses an optical connection (where service is available from NTT) or high-speed ADSL to provide guests with optimal Internet access.
• Toyoko Inn only provides the LAN connection.
  The front desk cannot answer any questions about the settings or use of the LAN network beyond what is written in the user manual. You are free to use the connection, but are responsible for enabling your own computer. Security issues are also your own responsibility.
• Each room is equipped with a LAN cable(* on some hotels, rooms are not equipped with a LAN cable. please ask the front desk to borrow the LAN cable).

• The room safe is located under the desk(this service is currently not available at all locations hotels, but it will be introduced across the entire Toyoko Inn chain).
• Please refer to the guide on top of the desk on how to use the safe, which is opened using a security code that you decide. Be careful to pick a security code that you won't forget.

[ Breakfast ]

• With the exception of certain hotels, Toyoko Inn offers a free breakfast service with a choice of bread and coffee or a rice ball, miso soup and coffee. This service is available between 7:00 and 9:30 (coffee until 10:00).

• Every Toyoko Inn is equipped with an AED at the hotel entrance or in the lobby. The unit can be used for anyone, not just guests.
  
  * AED(Automated External Defibrillator): A medical device that will electrically shock the heart into beating when someone suffers a heart attack.

• A computer with Internet access is provided in the hotel lobby for the use of guests at any time. Please do not change the computer's settings or save data.
  We request that guests refrain from using the computer for long periods of time so that other guests may also take advantage of this service.

[ Lobby Wireless LAN ]

• Toyoko Inn offers wireless LAN service in the hotel lobby. Guests with wireless LAN access can use this service at any time for free. There is no need to install anything or change your settings.

• Toyoko Inn meeting rooms are LAN-equipped. Hotels with meeting rooms are indicated on the facilities page for that hotel.
